Cure SMA is a US-based non-profit organisation that provides support to patients and families affected by spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) and funds and directs research leading the way to a cure for SMA. SMA Europe and Cure SMA work together on various research, treatment and care related priorities.&nbsp;

CureSMA India is a parent led PAN India NGO working exclusively for Spinal Muscular Atrophy patients in India. The NGO has around 850+ patients registered from all over India. CureSMA India represents patients of all age groups and all types of SMA from all corners of India. Their mission is to make treatment affordable and accessible to ALL SMA patients in India. We dream of a SMA free world and a barrier free universal healthcare for all.&nbsp;

EUPATI (European Patients&rsquo; Academy on Therapeutic Innovation) is an independent non-profit foundation that offers education and training to empower patients and their representatives in medicines research and development. Originally launched by the IMI-EUPATI project and later hosted by the European Patients&rsquo; Forum, EUPATI has trained over 330 Patient Experts through its Patient Expert Training Programme, with over 1170 participants currently enrolled. It also provides a multilingual, open-access Toolbox used by over 7.5 million people worldwide, enhancing the availability of medical information for patients and stakeholders.

EURO-NMD is a European Reference Network (ERN) for the thematic grouping of rare neuromuscular diseases (NMDs). It unites 61 of Europe&rsquo;s leading NMD clinical and research centres in 14 European Member States and includes highly active patient organisations. Several SMA Europe delegates are engaged in EURO-NMD, notably as members of its Ethics Committee and of its Motor Neuron Diseases Specialist Group.&nbsp;

The EMA engages with a network of eligible organisations, including SMA Europe, ensuring that the needs and concerns of a wide range of patients and consumers are represented via direct contact with the Agency.&nbsp;

The European Neuromuscular Centre (ENMC) was founded by a group of European patient associations dedicated to bringing together leading researchers and clinicians from all over the world. The ENMC is unique to achieve this by financing and organising workshops on a range of important topics for all neuromuscular diseases. SMA Europe is an associate member of ENMC and supports the organisation of SMA related workshops.

EURORDIS is an alliance of over 900 rare disease patient organisations from more than 70 countries that work together to improve the lives of people living with a rare disease in Europe. By connecting patients, families and patient groups, as well as by bringing together all stakeholders, EURORDIS strengthens the patient voice and shapes research, policies and patient services. SMA Europe is a member of EURORDIS and of its Council of European Federations.
